ABRomics team meets to strategize on upcoming updates

The latest ABRomics meeting, held on March 14, 2025, at the Institut Pasteur, focused on the development of version 1.x and the upcoming updates, the integration of metagenomics metadata  and analysis workflow, and the platform’s communication strategy.

This meeting brought together the researchers (microbiologists, clinicians and bioinformaticians)  and the developing teams (32 persons)  to review progress, address technical challenges, and refine the platform’s strategic direction. The discussions focused on recent updates, data management improvements, future developments and actions, particularly in metagenomics and communication efforts.

Key advancements include enhancements in standardized workflows, improved user roles, and new features such as typing using core genome MLST functionality, hybrid workflows combining long and short reads, as well as refined quality control measures. The team emphasized the importance of data sharing while ensuring confidentiality. 

The communication strategy for 2025 aims to expand outreach to institutions and potential users, leveraging LinkedIn and mailing.
